Reality Sucks - Monday 12 December 2011

Mondays show on INFERNAL ROCK RADIO? It was AWESOME!  I was pretty pissed on Monday. For reasons I will not get into here either. The entity that delivered the "slap in the face" is probably unaware that one was delivered. Pissed-Off-Alvin generally means a good show and this was the case on this night.

We had takes on Ryan Braun and his PED's. We heard about Allen Iverson and his Pre-Nup. Motorhead is putting Vodka in a bottle and selling it.  Brutus the Barber Beefcake is filing a lawsuit vs Hulk Hogan's ex-wife. I guess that whole "rolling around with other sweaty males" got some slanderous homophobic comments from the former Mrs Hogan.

Happy Thanksgiving from INFERNAL ROCK RADIO to ALL YOU METALHEADS. Hope your holiday season is lucrative and painless. I myself do a dammed good job of avoiding retail at all costs. It's been years since I've visited a retail outlet during the holidays.

Tonight's show was awesome. I started off the show by venting about a former #IRR employee who doesn't appreciate anything in life, at all. A little foreign ball of hate. A Canuck who needs to get laid, for like 3 days non stop. Dude, mix in a positive comment every once in awhile. Take a look around you. There is more to life than the hatred you spit out into the world. Also: get laid. By someone in your own country. I don't care how much those Phillipinos say they want your bod. That's such bullshit.  They want your money and a ticket to North America so they can bail on you and come to the US. You can do better.  Find a hottie who does the frenche accent. You'll be a happy man and your outlook on life might change.

Reality SUCKS: METAL DAY EDITION

11/11/11 - METAL DAY! Talk about a killer show. First up I was given a good lot of listeners as DJ BEASTY did a 4(?) hour drive-by before I hit the airwaves. Thank you KK. Always good to go on after you. Lots of good requests, from a lot of people. Metal BROTHER DJ ZED got us going with some requested CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED. DJ ROCK, DJ BEASTY, TIMMMAH, and BLUE BEARD sent in requests all night as well. JIMMY K stopped into the studio for some hang time, and made some requests too. Visits from EROTIC JESUS and K0WPYE made the evening that much more kickass. Without all of YOU the show would not have been nearly as awesome.

1. I'm a HUGE Chimaira fan. One of my fave bands since I discovered them in 2004. I have mixed feelings on this announcement. I want them all to do well and support their decisions. Good luck to Matt, Rob, Mark, Jim, Andols, and Spicuzza. You guys certainly made your mark in metal and I hope you do for many years to come. FUCK YOUR POWER TRIP! \M/
3. Lemmy has a busted hand and had to cancel a couple shows. I joked on the show "I wonder how Lemmy busted his left hand eh? Tossin it?!? Wait. This is FUCKING LEMMY! Reality Sucks: HALLOWEEN EDITION - Monday 31 October, 2011

Another chapter in the REALITY SUCKS story was written Monday. Halloween isn't really my thing - however I will call out some pretty kickass costumes that I saw two nights before later on.

As usual the BACHNESSMONSTER had a KILLER KILLER set and left me with a nice amount of listeners. Thank you Jeff \M/. I started off the night with a few tracks that celebrated Halloween. That was the extent my celebration. No candy for this kid.

Saturday the 29th was FREAKFEST in Madison. Thousands pour into the downtown area of Madison, generally costumed up. I avoided most of the festivities as my downtown destinations did not include Freakfest. However, I think they need to rename FREAKFEST to SLUT-NIGHT. 'nuff said. I did catch the SPOOKTACULAR show at THE FREQUENCY with Unusual Hurts, Chaos Revolution Theory, and SUBATOMIC. UH did a great job covering Nirvana. Outstanding job even. CRT did an amazing Peal Jam set, and SUBATOMIC totally KRUSHED Black Sabbath. @Mike Adams Jr: you are a madman sir. \M/

Speaking of SPOOKTACULAR - I have to call attention to a pair of costumes. The EROTIC JESUS dressed as well, himself,  and then the PREDATOR costume. WOW.. Nice job all.

Reality (BDAY) Sucks 03 October 2011

I took the last week of September off from Radio - life happens. So this is my first blog in a couple weeks. Did you miss me? Of COURSE you did. :) With this past Sunday being my birthday I decided that I was going to be RADIO NAZI and flip the requests off to open my show and play some personal favorites. Three from NINE INCH NAILS to get things going - some local flavor with FACES FOR RADIO, LAST CRACK, and DROIDS ATTACK in the second hour. As the night progressed I busted out the heavy shit, and played some new (to me) stuff from LANDMINE MARATHON - DEIVOS - and WARBRINGER.

The BACHNESS MONSTER put on another EPIC edition of THE LAIR prior to me taking the feed. I am really getting stoked for his BIRTHDAY BASH in November. 

On another night when my usual "charm" attitude was lacking, I still managed to have an awesome show.  I had a great CHATROOM and excellent tunes. An old friend stopped into the CHATOOM which inspired the SLEAZE ROCK you heard during the second hour. Thanks for tuning in, Raider!

• There was a reference to the PMRC during "ON THIS DATE" so I had to play Megadeth's HOOK IN MOUTH. You cannot play a Megadeth track without playing other old school thrash. See the EXODUS and ANTHRAX in the last hour.

Reality Sucks Friday 16 September 2011

I started off my radio night experience with a visit to THE LAIR OF THE BACHNESS MONSTER for a snort of bourbon with Bach and JD. Bach was doing a Friday Edition of THE LAIR before they went out to see SUBATOMIC, CARBELLION, and CHAOS REVOLUTION THEORY at Mister Roberts. When I walked into the door of THE LAIR at 4:22 the lettuce aroma was certainly evident. \M/

On to my show. Good chatroom tonight. I kicked off the show with a double-shot of Metallica covers - The Mercyful Fate medley from Garage INC, and Diamond Heads 'The Prince" which was first released as a B-SIDE to "ONE" way back when. The rest of the first hour I showcased some of my favorite local bands, Droids Attack, Romero, and Kill Junior.

I then played a double-shot from the new Anthrax record to kick off hour 2. The new Anthrax is outstanding.  The rest of the show was a kick-ass mix of genres; Doom, Thrash, Stoner, Power, and even a little Prog. \m/
